Benjamin Angel currently serves as the Director for direct taxation, tax coordination, economic analysis, and evaluation at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Taxation and Customs Union (TAXUD). He has also held roles as the Director for indirect taxation, Treasury and Financial operations, and the economies of the Member States in the Directorate General for economic and financial affairs (ECFIN). Benjamin Angel holds a PhD in law, an MBA in finance, a master’s in public administration focused on economics, and a master’s in political science.
