Dr. Eva Oertel

Dr. Oertel currently works in the area of international tax law at the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Home Affairs. From 2019 to 2020, she was seconded to the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin with a focus on international tax policy. Prior to that, she held various positions at Bavarian tax offices, the Bavarian State Tax Office and the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Home Affairs since joining the Bavarian tax authorities in 2009. She is co-editor of the specialist journal IWB and co-host of the podcast "TaxQuartett". She is also a lecturer at the University of Heidelberg and a member of the German Tax Law Society.
