Kay Gottschalk

Member of the Bundestag, born on 12 December 1965 in Hamburg. After completing his secondary education in 1985, he undertook a dual degree programme combining a banking apprenticeship with business administration and law (Dipl.-Kfm.), and went on to work as a senior executive at insurance groups. A member of the AfD since 2013, he is now Deputy Federal Spokesperson and Spokesperson on Financial Policy for the AfD parliamentary group in the Bundestag. Since January 2026, he has been a deputy member of the Committee on Economic Co-operation and Development (AwZ). During the 19th legislative period, he chaired the Special Committee on Wirecard (PUA Wirecard).
