There for everyone, differently for each individual: BARMER is one of Germany's largest public health insurance funds, supporting around eight million policyholders. We assist our insured members with topics related to health, illness and care – through personal consultation in around 350 branches, digital services and easy-to-understand information on health insurance benefits as well as social insurance law topics.

The focus is always on the individual and their personal needs. We aim to provide guidance, strengthen health literacy and enable easy access to the benefits and services of statutory health insurance – reliably, personally and straightforwardly.

DEGIS – Deutsche Gesellschaft internationaler Studierender (German Society of International Students) – is the Policy Lab of the Lumeira Group and a non-profit organization dedicated to the success of international students and skilled professionals in Germany. Since 2021, DEGIS has been building a nationwide, volunteer-driven community network across more than 50 cities with around 1,000 volunteers and over 40,000 online members – through local City Chapters, events, buddy and mentoring programs. From the experiences of this community, DEGIS gains unique insights, which it translates into evidence-based recommendations for universities, companies and policymakers within the framework of its Policy Lab. In this way, DEGIS combines lived community work with research and positions itself as the "Voice of Internationals in Germany". DEGIS is made possible through the long-term commitment of the CHAPTERS Group and operates independently, transparently and non-commercially.
